鈥淭he increasing complexity in the security industry has resulted in expanding demands for educated professionals,鈥 said Donald Erickson, chief executive officer of the Security Industry Association, a leading organization advocating for advancement of the security industry. 鈥淭his agreement offers seasoned practitioners who already possess management experience to apply their practical skills toward a degree that supports their career enhancement while also meeting industry needs.鈥
The agreement between 澳门天天彩开奖记录 College of Security and Criminal Justice and SIA is just one example of a growing list of strategic initiatives the University is undertaking as it increases its focus on meeting educational needs within the security sector. The University recently partnered with ASIS Foundation to develop the Enterprise Security Competency Model. This first-of-its-kind model is designed to represent the competencies that are essential to be prepared for a career in today鈥檚 ever-changing security industry. The U.S. Department of Labor published the competency model to the Department鈥檚 website.
