Seven faculty members from the College of Business & Information Technology served as judges for the in-person event

The annual event aims to facilitate learning, emphasize negotiation skills, and build self-confidence by connecting students from students with other universities, business professionals, and negotiation experts. Faculty members Troy Adams, Richard Bowman, Don Braunstein, Dr. Lise Hautzinger-Forrest, Niraj Kohli, Scott Romeo, and Dr. Patrick Sherman served as judges and Don Braunstein delivered a lunchtime presentation during the event. The in-person competition took place on April 5-6, 2024, at the Northern Arizona University campus in Phoenix, Arizona.

The National Undergraduate Negotiation Competition gives university students a valuable opportunity to build essential negotiation skills. Student teams engage in simulated negotiations with peers from other universities, receiving valuable feedback from experienced judges after each round. The competition aims to facilitate learning, emphasize negotiation skills, and build self-confidence among participants.
The competition format includes four 35-minute rounds, each featuring challenging negotiation and conflict resolution scenarios. Judges provide feedback after each round, ultimately determining which teams will advance to the finals.
