They typically work in public or private schools with students of all ages and help them develop strategies to achieve their educational goals. They also advocate for students鈥 social-emotional development by providing resources and referrals to help them navigate life.

How to become a high school counselor

If you鈥檙e considering a career as a school counselor, . However, related fields such as general counseling and psychology may also be accepted.
